Integrity

Penobscot Boat Works (1972)

Integrity has been fully restored and updated over the past 25 years to yacht-like standards with the help of many extremely qualified and talented individuals. The extensive work performed included partial stem, stern post and keel replacement, new white oak rails and additional bright work accents throughout. The interior cabin has been redesigned and completely refinished with African Mahogany countertops, Vola plumbing fixtures and accessories from Denmark, Broadwater oven from Austrailia, as well as custom millwork, lighting and propane heat. She draws the attention of sailors in every port she enters.  Integrity’s design was developed by Maine fishermen during the last half of the nineteenth century. These “Quoddy Sloops” earned an enviable reputation as exceptional sea boats. There are few boats of her size that can equal her performance in all types of weather. Our downeast boat builders at the turn of the last century learned things about sailboat design that computer technology is still trying to compute.
